Zofia Wóycicka is a historian and museum curator. She studies history and sociology at the Collegium for Interdisciplinary Humanistic Studies at the University of Warsaw (1995-2001) and at the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena (1999-2000, 2002-2003). 2001-2006 PhD student at the Graduate School for Social Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She was awarded a doctorate for a thesis on the memory and remembrance of the Nazi concentration and extermination camps in Poland, 1944-1950 (2007). In the years 2007-2011 Zofia Wóycicka worked at the Educatioanal Centre of the Museum of the History of the Polish Jews in Warsaw, 2010-2014 she was assistant professor at the Institute of History of the University of Warsaw (from 2011 on leave), 2011-2015 curator at the House of European History in Brussels. Currently she works as a researcher at the Center for Historical Research Berlin of the Polish Academy of Science.
